Tool Configuration
Without a custom CA root, signatures are validated against system CA roots; self-signed certificates will report CRYPTOGRAPHICALLY_VALID_UNTRUSTED_CERT (never falsely VERIFIED).
About this tool
Uses `pyHanko` and `cryptography` to validate embedded `/Sig` dictionaries over `/ByteRange`. Strictly distinguishes mathematically intact signatures with self-signed/untrusted certificates (`CRYPTOGRAPHICALLY_VALID_UNTRUSTED_CERT`) from CA-trusted identities (`TRUSTED_VERIFIED`), and never falsely displays VERIFIED.
